Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Psychiatry/Behavioral Health. The RN will be responsible for providing quality care to adults dealing with mental health and addiction issues, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct shift assessments and manage patient admissions and discharges.
• Administer emergency and regular medications, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Respond effectively to CODE Blues and violent situations, demonstrating de-escalation techniques.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and Pyxis systems for medication management and patient documentation.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Psychiatry/Behavioral Health setting.
• Current RN license and required certifications including BLS and Handle With Care (HWC).
• Strong understanding of COWS and CIWAs assessments.
• Ability to manage a range of mental health diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia.
