Telemetry Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

The Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care for patients in the telemetry unit. Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing IV cardiac medications, and providing intervention for patients experiencing critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms in a telemetry setting.
• Administer medications, including critical drips and IV infusions.
• Provide effective care and management for stroke patients.
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code teams as needed.
• Conduct patient assessments and report significant changes in patient conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NY RN License in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in telemetry or stepdown.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (can obtain prior to starting).
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Ability to pass a hospital proctored test on rhythm identification.
• Flu vaccine or exemption required.
