PCU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Weekends: Required (Every other weekend)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit. The ideal candidate will float between units as needed, ensuring versatility and flexibility in meeting patient care demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions including but not limited to congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, sepsis, and acute respiratory failure.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as per established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and document changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Manage and interpret telemetry, perform ABG assays, and administer blood products as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a progressive care unit or similar environment.
• Current and valid RN license (Compact license preferred).
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system is mandatory.
