PCU Registered Nurse - Charge Experience Required

Job Description

The facility is seeking a qualified PCU Registered Nurse with charge experience to join our team on the 5 West Neuro PCU unit. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in a neuroscience-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff and coordinate care in the PCU setting.
• Utilize EMR (Meditech) for patient record management.
• Ensure compliance with unit guidelines and policies.
• Provide direct patient care and support a nurse/patient ratio of 4-5:1.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff and provide mentorship as needed.
• Participate in rotating weekend shifts as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have PCU skill competency.
• Neuro competency is preferred but not required.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• Charge nurse experience is essential.
