Neuro ICU RN - Night Shift

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Neuro ICU RN with strong experience in handling high acuity cases involving cardiovascular issues, multi-trauma patients, gunshot wounds, strokes, STEMI receiving, and post-surgical care. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate effective teamwork. Responsibilities include managing patients in a Level 2 Trauma and Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with neurological and cardiovascular conditions.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies.
• Participate in the multidisciplinary care team for patient management.
• Provide support during procedures such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, and administration of blood products.
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and those with multi-system organ failure.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required.
• Current RN license and certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and LA City Fire Card.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Charge RN experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system preferred but not mandatory.
