Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Unit

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Job Description

Join our Medical/Surgical unit where you will provide comprehensive care to patients with diagnoses including post-surgical conditions, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity. You will be responsible for utilizing specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a medical/surgical setting.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Assist with feeding and managing specialty equipment as needed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License in New York.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting.
• Travel experience is mandatory.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred.
• Drivers license with matching demographic address.
