Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position, full-time, 5 days a week, with a shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Description

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) provides both routine and complex nursing care, demonstrating the ability to cope with and manage the contingencies of clinical situations. The RN practices independently while adhering to nursing standards and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, while addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Assess learning needs and identify issues and resources related to patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA required.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or compact.
