Registered Nurse - Neurological Unit

Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits as you start your career on a specialized neurological unit. This is an excellent unit to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. Work with our interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and more. As a Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, we manage many acute and complex patients using state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the neurological unit.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring to assess patients' conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat neurological conditions.
• Participate in on-call and callback duties as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of nursing experience is required.
• Active RN License (New York only).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• NIHSS certification is required.
