Level II Registered Nurse - Neuromusculoskeletal Med Surg

Job Description

The Level II Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuromusculoskeletal Med Surg department is responsible for providing competent care based on established standards. Working under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the RN will engage in clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice. This role includes expanded responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member tasks.

Schedule

This position requires a 3x12.0 schedule, with blocked weekends. The RN will be expected to work weekends, holidays, and be available for on-call or callback as needed, with guaranteed hours of either 36 or 48 per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Telemetry experience required
• NYS RN licensure (only New York State licenses accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association only
• NIHSS certification required
