Cardio-Thoracic ICU RN - 18 Weeks Contract

Schedule

This position offers a 3x12-hour shift schedule. Day shifts are from 07:00 to 19:30, and night shifts are from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend work is required, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the unit.

Job Description

The Cardio-Thoracic ICU RN will provide specialized care to post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, as well as patients requiring mechanical circulatory support. This role demands experience with advanced cardiac devices and managing complex patient needs in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardio-Thoracic ICU.
• Manage ventilators, IV starts, and pulmonary artery lines.
• Administer medication and monitor patient vitals and status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond to patient emergencies and perform required interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac ICU setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with ventilators, IABPs, and PA lines is essential.
• Travel experience is preferred, with no first-timers accepted for this position.
