MRI Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires an 8-hour day/evening shift, including day and evening hours. The technologist must work 2 out of 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment, perform imaging procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort during the process. The position does not require on-call hours, but 1-2 weekends a month will be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MRI scans as directed by physicians.
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to alleviate anxieties.
• Ensure the safety of patients and staff by following safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
• Utilize Phillips MRI equipment effectively and efficiently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
• ARRT or ARMRIT license is mandatory with MRI advanced licensure.
• Experience with Phillips MRI systems is essential.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of MRI experience is necessary.
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is a non-negotiable requirement.
