Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for providing respiratory care to neonates, infants, and adults in a Level IV NICU, adult floor, and ICU settings. Candidates must be experienced in high-acuity care and comfortable with advanced respiratory therapies. This position requires expertise in various respiratory modalities and equipment used in critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies and assist with acute and chronic respiratory care.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, extubation, and bronchoscopy.
• Monitor and maintain ventilatory support for NICU patients.
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results.
• Provide emergency respiratory interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a NICU setting.
• Must possess a current RRT certification and Washington State Respiratory license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) preferred.
• Experience with ventilators, including Servo U and Hamilton C-1, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system required.
