Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) or Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00). Must be flexible and available for weekends every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Level 3 NICU team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work autonomously within the NICU. Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries, troubleshooting ventilator problems, and performing various procedures to support the respiratory care of neonates.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to neonates and infants.
• Perform intubation and extubation as needed.
• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases.
• Assist healthcare providers with complex cases in intensive care settings.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Washington State License for RRT.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, and PALS.
• Experience with trauma units is preferred.
