Med/Surg Registered Nurse with Neuro Expertise

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends required based on facility needs, minimum every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse with a strong background in neuro patient care. The position involves working in a rehabilitation facility with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing care. Candidates must be prepared to float between units as needed and adhere to special requirements outlined by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, particularly those related to neuro issues.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for any changes in condition.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize Epic for charting and maintaining patient records.
• Support emergency protocols as necessary, including participation in rapid response and code teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license (Compact license required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg unit, with a focus on neuro patients.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
