Emergency Room Registered Nurse - 12 Hour Nights

Job Description

The Emergency Room (ER) is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ER has a total of 8 beds and typically sees an average daily census of 29 patients. The nurse to patient ratio in the ER generally ranges from 1 to 2, potentially going up to 1 to 4.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
• Utilize the Pyxis medication system for medication administration.
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and unexpired Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
