Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, weekdays, every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency department nursing and be proficient in various critical care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.
• Perform IV starts and manage patient care effectively.
• Administer emergency medications and conduct procedures such as intubation and chest tube management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Radiology, and Pharmacy.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department; 5 years preferred.
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and a valid RN license in the state of West Virginia.
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP, TNCC.
