ICU Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Primarily night shift from 6 PM to 6 AM, with the possibility of assisting on the day shift from 6 AM to 6 PM as the schedule warrants.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing critical patients and will be responsible for the care of patients suffering from conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, STEMI, post-TPA strokes, and other acute illnesses. Each ICU room is equipped with a critical care tele-med camera and alert functionality for enhanced patient safety. An Intensivist is readily available for consultation when not in the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in an ICU setting.
• Monitor vital signs and alert the medical team to any changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including intensivists and hospitalists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to Telemetry and Med Surg units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in good standing.
• ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Ability to pass an IV and medication test on the first day of employment.
• Physical and drug screening will take place the week prior to the first day (unpaid).
