Job Description
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients. The RN will utilize a virtual interviewing process and will float to various areas as needed, including all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, ED for ICU holds, and Women’s and Family if required. Attaining optimal patient outcomes through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care will be pivotal in this role.
Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direction of a licensed physician.
- Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
- Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to nursing practice standards.
- Participate in orientation and training sessions relevant to floating roles to ensure competence in diverse settings.
- Manage patient ratios that do not exceed 1:3, ensuring quality care delivery.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
- 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting (No new grads allowed)
- Current PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Required)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification (Required)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification (Preferred)
