Registered Nurse - Night Shift Cardiac Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30 with weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our cardiac telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide care for inpatient adults dealing with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. You will be responsible for managing patients with cardiovascular issues including, but not limited to, sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease.

Responsibilities

• Administer vasoactive drugs and antiarrhythmic therapies.
• Provide thrombolytic therapy and perform defibrillation/cardioversion.
• Conduct thoracentesis and monitor cardiac telemetry.
• Perform EKGs and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in South Carolina.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience required.
• Two years of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
