Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) with weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Telemetry unit, you will provide critical care to inpatient adults with life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. You will be involved in administering IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation, as well as managing various cardiovascular diagnoses including sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease.

Responsibilities

• Administer vasoactive and antiarrhythmic medications as prescribed.
• Perform thrombolytic therapy and defibrillation/cardioversion as required.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and EKG readings.
• Manage non-invasive blood pressure monitoring and other critical care activities.
• Float to other units or facilities as needed based on patient care demands.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• State RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• 2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred
