Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Will work 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week. Weekend requirements include every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN is responsible for providing critical care nursing across various pediatric units, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU. The nurse will float as needed to meet facility demands while ensuring excellent patient outcomes and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Manage patient care while floating between different units as necessary.
• Stay knowledgeable about pediatric critical care protocols and procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience.
• BLS and PALS certifications required (AHA accepted only).
• Valid South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required.
• Experience with ECMO and CRT preferred.
