Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med-Surg unit is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for adult and geriatric patients, actively collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and implement necessary interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Administer medications and perform procedures in compliance with hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of Med-Surg experience required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Ability to float to various units as needed.
