Evening Mental Health Specialist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Evenings - 8 hour shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM with a required commitment of 32-40 hours per week, including every other weekend.

Job Description

An experienced Mental Health Specialist is needed for an adolescent-focused child and adolescent unit in an acute inpatient hospital setting. This role is essential for providing compassionate care and support to patients ranging in age from 5 through geriatric, addressing various mental health and behavioral disorders as well as substance abuse and addictions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to adolescents in an inpatient setting.
• Monitor patient behavior and emotional health.
• Engage with patients to promote a supportive and therapeutic environment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Document patient care and progress notes accurately.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in mental health care, particularly in child and adolescent units.
