Registered Nurse - Stepdown/PCU

12-hour day shifts, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of Stepdown/PCU experience to provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions and other complex health issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiac monitoring skills and be comfortable working with cardiac drips.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips including cardizem, amio, nitro, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, and angiomax.
• Administer medications and provide patient care following CIWA protocols.
• Work collaboratively with a charge nurse and support staff, including aides and respiratory therapists.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips; troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Participate in patient education and support to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least 2 years of Stepdown/PCU nursing experience.
• Must have an unexpired driver's license and disclosure of any licensing hits upon submission.
