Physical Therapist - Inpatient Care

Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large acute care facility and be a team player who will provide exceptional care to our patients. This role involves evaluating patients, establishing plans of care and treatment programs, providing interventions, as well as educating patients and families. Documentation of interventions and appropriate billing practices are also essential components of the position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and establish treatment plans.
• Provide appropriate interventions and document all actions taken.
• Educate patients and their families about care and treatment options.
• Support Lead Clinicians in competency development and implementation.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff members.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for students.
• Exercise independent judgment on moderately complex cases with minimal supervision.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New Jersey License to practice Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program.
• 0-4 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is strongly preferred.
• High-acuity experience, particularly in ICU, Step-Down, or Cardiac units, is highly preferred.
