Traveling X-Ray Technician

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of 7am-5pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with no on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

The Traveling X-Ray Technician will perform and provide appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines. This role includes maintaining all imaging equipment, assessing safety, and ensuring the physical and physiological comfort of patients. The technician will monitor the need for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging processes, among other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures in compliance with established guidelines.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure the safety of imaging equipment.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Coordinate daily imaging procedures and assess the need for any revisions.
• Document patient interactions and imaging results accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician.
• Graduate of an accredited radiography school.
• Current NJ State RT License.
• ARRT certification required.
• Experience with GE equipment is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Comfortable in the OR setting.
