Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT

Job Description

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable. Customers served include employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
• Complies with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Employs adequate radiation safety practices for both patients and co-workers.
• Participates in all Radiology Management System functions pertaining to patient procedures.
• Provides patient education as required.
• Maintains effective communications with referring physician and radiologist staff to ensure efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Adheres to service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in all interactions.
• Follows appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Schedule

Evenings 12pm-12:30am or 2pm-2:30am.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in radiologic technology.
• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered.
• ARRT(R) certification.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• ARRT CT Registration is preferred.
• EPIC experience is required.
