Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate an effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and ethical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilizes clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to address discharge barriers and coordinates necessary training for patients and families.
• Manages individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Maintains clear, concise, and timely medical record documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Participates in student programs, providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and applies learned information to meet organizational objectives.
• Advocates for patients and professionalism through community engagement and professional memberships.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid, current State license as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS Certification is required prior to the first shift.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a therapy setting is required.

Schedule

This position offers a Day shift, working 5 days a week for 8-hour shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
