Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician directions. The role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and is responsible for the design of functional treatment programs that promote an effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while also performing other professional duties related to patient care and therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Maintain clear, concise, and accurate medical record documentation, including treatment goals and functional quality assessments.
• Ensure that care is delivered under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision and evaluations in a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Understand and implement the organization's performance improvement methodology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience
• CPR Certification

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8.0 hour shift schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
