Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join our Labor and Delivery unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various surgical procedures and supporting the healthcare team in providing exceptional care to patients during labor and delivery. The environment is dynamic and requires adaptability to varying patient ratios and acuity levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist in vaginal deliveries, C-sections, dilation and curettage (D&C), tubal ligations, hysterectomies, and vaginal repairs.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and maintain equipment to ensure a sterile environment.
• Document patient care activities using the GE Documentation system (EPIC).
• May be required to float to other units as needed based on census.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certified Surgical Tech with experience in labor and delivery settings.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures specific to obstetrics and gynecology.
