Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry unit is responsible for providing optimal patient care utilizing their knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The RN is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care, offering comprehensive services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with telemetry needs.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition, administering prescribed medications and treatments.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health management and care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Successful completion of telemetry competency exam is required.
