Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Med/Tele unit provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The incumbent is responsible for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care, supplying comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families or caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for various age groups.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Utilize advanced clinical knowledge for optimal patient care delivery.
• Participate in furthering the scientific knowledge base and ongoing learning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS. Must pass a telemetry competency exam to include identifying and measuring telemetry rhythms and strips.
