3 x 12 hour variable shifts, including 7-1930, 08-2030, or 09-2130, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Same Day Surgery is responsible for providing optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role encompasses the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring their individual needs are met throughout their surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing services to patients undergoing same-day surgery.
• Utilize knowledge and skills within the nursing process to achieve individualized patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care with other professionals as needed.
• Engage families/caregivers in the assessment and planning processes.
• Demonstrate understanding of specific cognitive and psychosocial needs of the patient population.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2+ years of RN surgery/recovery experience.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Certifications: AHA BLS, Pre-op/Recovery RN, PACU, OR, and SDS: CMP completed within 1 year of start date.
