Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe and efficient delivery of care in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess patients' conditions and assign Emergency Severity Index.
• Provide immediate life-saving interventions and stabilize critical patients.
• Administer necessary medications and coordinate with other healthcare professionals.
• Delegate patient care priorities according to staff education and experience.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and training.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in Emergency Room nursing required.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and SAMA or equivalent certifications required.
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred.

Schedule

This position requires working mids, specifically from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
