Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is accountable for delivering comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies. The role requires a demonstration of critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the planning and safe delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and ensure the safety and quality of care for patients in the Emergency Room.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical competencies in delivering nursing care.
• Delegate patient care priorities appropriate to the education and experience of available staff.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, family members, and the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
