Surgical Nurse - Trauma / Ortho / Neuro

Schedule

This position requires a 3 × 12-hour shift schedule totaling 36 hours per week. Shifts are from 9 AM to 9 PM.

Job Description

The Surgical Nurse in this role will support surgical procedures, particularly in the trauma, ortho, and neuro specialties. Responsibilities include scrubbing in and circulating during surgeries, ensuring patient safety, and assisting the surgical team as needed. Note that no time off can be requested between September 1, 2026, and November 15, 2026, due to a systemwide Epic implementation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures for trauma, ortho, and neuro cases.
• Perform scrubbing and circulating duties, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide on-call support as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience in level 1 trauma center preferred.
• Experience with DaVinci robotics is a plus.
• Current nursing licensure is required.
