Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days shift available with options of either 5x8 hour shifts or 2x8 hour shifts + 2x12 hour shifts. Call requirements include one weeknight shift per pay period, and a 48-hour weekend call every 8 weeks, with a 30-minute response time.

Job Description

The Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the operating room setting. Experience in the OR is required along with maintaining a high standard of patient care throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding surgical processes.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to safety protocols.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous experience in Operating Room settings.
• Cerner experience is preferred but not required.
