CT Technologist - Per Diem

Schedule

This is a per diem need with shifts every other Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., plus on-call weekend hours from 11 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Sunday every third or fourth weekend. The on-call hours will not overlap with the scheduled Sunday shift.

Job Description

The CT Technologist performs CT imaging according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. They must demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. Knowledge in radiation protection and safety is essential. The preparation and administration of contrast media must be performed in accordance with hospital policy. Critical thinking, professional, and ethical judgment are necessary for the quality of care delivered.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures as per established protocols.
• Prepare and administer contrast media according to hospital policies.
• Maintain knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Ensure adherence to radiation protection and safety standards.
• Utilize critical thinking and ethical judgment in delivering quality care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: General relevant experience preferred.
• Licenses: Basic Life Support required.
• Reg Technologist (R) (CT) required or Reg Technologist (R) also acceptable.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
