Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. The PTA will implement selected components of patient/client interventions, obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly.
• Provide patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
• Implement treatment plans and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be a graduate of and have a certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Currently credentialed by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board.
• Verification card of current instruction in BLS.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience primarily in outpatient settings preferred.
• Bi-lingual capabilities are helpful.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
