Job Description

The Physical Therapist I/II / Advanced Physical Therapist I/II position is responsible for providing quality physical therapy services to a predominately Native American population for the treatment or prevention of physical disability or disease. The role includes the management and implementation of the Physical Therapy program as well as the provision of physical therapy evaluations and treatments to inpatients and outpatients, ranging from birth through geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provision of specialty services including wound care, prosthetic and orthotic clinics, geriatric clinics, high school clinics, functional clinics, spinal cord clinics, and assistive technology/adaptive equipment evaluations/treatments.
• Management of the physical therapy section, focusing on continuing quality improvement, risk management, and safety.
• Development of physical therapy policies and procedures.
• Preparation for Joint Commission and other accrediting bodies.
• Staff education, reporting, and participation in meetings and in-services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree from a Commission of Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Must possess a valid, current, full, and unrestricted license in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Must meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff.
