Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

This position requires a 36-hour night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working every other weekend and holiday, encompassing a Monday to Sunday schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide patient care based on established standards, protocols, and policies. This role involves fostering each patient’s dignity and self-regard, collaborating for effective discharge planning, and prioritizing patient care effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care consistent with standards of practice and organizational policies.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and actively participate in multi-disciplinary rounds.
• Provide thorough documentation of patient data and therapeutic interventions.
• Teach patients and families based on identified learning needs and readiness to learn.
• Safely administer medications and intravenous therapy in accordance with physician’s orders.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions, including abnormal lab results.
• Utilize pain management techniques and devices for effective pain relief.
• Support assessment and teaching of surgical patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN License in Massachusetts.
• ACLS certification upon hire or active BLS certification with ACLS within 60 days.
• A minimum of 1 year of med-surg experience is preferred; telemetry experience is also preferred.
