Operating Room Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care

Job Description

The Operating Room of Surgery seeks a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional cardiac care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. Our team serves a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Collaborate with various provider specialties to ensure optimal patient outcomes for those going home the same day or being admitted to the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room for cardiac and procedural sedation patients.
• Coordinate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to immediate needs during procedures.
• Educate patients and their families regarding pre-operative and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• AHA ACLS certification required.
• One (1) year experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR, or completion of an approved didactic pre-operative nursing class.
• Two (2) years of experience in ICU/PCU and/or a medical/surgical acute care setting.
• One (1) year of CVOR/Open Heart experience is REQUIRED.
• ICU experience preferred.
• Scrubbing experience preferred.

Schedule

This position has a varied schedule, including rotating weekends.
