Registered Nurse - Circulating Nurse (Cardiac Surgery)

Job Description

The Operating Room of Surgery provides cardiac care to surgical and procedural sedation patients across various age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. The role involves working closely with a range of provider specialties to ensure optimal patient care for those going home the same day or those being admitted to the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Provide care for cardiac surgery and procedural sedation patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for patient-centered care.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients in the perioperative environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• AHA ACLS certification required.
• One (1) year experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR or completion of an approved didactic pre-operative nursing class.
• Two (2) years experience in ICU/PCU and/or a medical/surgical acute care setting preferred.
• One (1) year CVOR/Open Heart experience required.
• ICU experience preferred.
• Scrubbing experience preferred.
