Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient outcomes and make changes in the plan of care within the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons ensuring understanding of respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge procedures.
• Accept reassignment to other units when necessary.
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students and act as a role model for clinical practice.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care.
• Deliver respiratory care as ordered by a physician while maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Illinois state license.
• BLS certification.
• NRP-MHC certification.

Schedule

This position requires working night shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
