Radiology Technician - Modified Barium Swallow Studies

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician with expertise in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care, specifically within rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities. This is a 13-week contract position, with an emphasis on independent operation in radiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently without supervision from a radiologist.
• Document procedures using Meditech computerized documentation for inpatient cases and paper for outpatient documentation.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary teams providing care in both acute and skilled nursing facilities.
• Assist with potential referrals for outpatient care based on patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility.
• Active Hawaii license required prior to the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification required.

Schedule

The position typically involves a generally set schedule of five days per week, likely including one weekend day. Flexibility may be needed for floating to other units or facilities based on patient census and staffing needs.
