Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description

This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department while evaluating patient outcomes and collaborating with specialists as required. The role demands the ability to adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care and maintain efficient flow through the ER.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient needs.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients and their families to meet their informational needs.
• Engage in clear communication with ED physicians regarding changes in patients' status, symptomatology, and diagnostic study results.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• ENPC, TNCC, and TNS certifications preferred.
