Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

Night shift, 6:30pm - 7:00am, with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides both direct and indirect patient care. This role involves evaluating patient outcomes, consulting with specialists, and adjusting nursing care processes as needed to ensure optimal patient care and flow through the ER. Care must encompass psychosocial, physical, and general aspects, while effectively communicating with patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes as indicated.
• Communicate changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results with ED physicians.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
• ENPC, TNCC, and TNS certifications preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
