Day Shift: 5x8 Hours (07:00 AM - 03:00 PM)

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will work within a short-term acute care facility, primarily in the inpatient rehabilitation unit, with occasional floating to other patient care areas including the ICU, telemetry, and ED. This role is ideal for candidates who are willing to work with various patient populations, including adults and geriatrics, in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning for patients in rehabilitation.
• Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patient outcomes in various settings.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork to optimize patient care and rehabilitation.
• Document patient care activities accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Educate patients and families on safety, adaptive equipment, and community re-entry strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care, rehabilitation, or similar setting.
• Current Occupational Therapist license or pending license acceptable.
• Experience with Epic charting preferred.
• Certifications in specialized areas such as neuro rehabilitation or prosthetic training are a plus.
