Shift: 4 days x 10 hours, 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM or 08:15 AM - 06:45 PM

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs specialized Nuclear Medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies. The technologist is expected to operate advanced equipment and ensure the safety and comfort of patients during the procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Nuclear Medicine procedures with state-of-the-art equipment.
• Assist in patient care and maintain patient safety protocols.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as per protocols.
• Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards for handling radioactive materials.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• Five years of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• Pending Nuclear Medicine license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) is allowed.
• Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine with the NMTCB or ARRT within 6 months of hire.
• BLS from the AHA within 90 days of hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Monitoring class to be passed within 4 months of hire.
• Must have experience with Epic charting system.
