Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Pediatric Outpatient
Schedule
This is a flexible scheduling position with options for either a 4x10-hour shift or a 5x8-hour shift. The 4x10 schedule includes Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The 5x8 schedule consists of three days from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and two days from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Please note that there are no weekend shifts required.
Job Description
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide evaluations and therapy for pediatric patients with various conditions, focusing on autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders. The SLP will work in a pediatric outpatient setting, using comprehensive assessment methods and personalized care plans to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of speech and language skills in pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Provide therapy and education to patients and their families regarding communication disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and interpretation services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment in Wellsky/Epic.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including recognizing signs of abuse.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current BLS and CCC-SLP certifications are required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in pediatric settings, with a focus on outpatient therapy preferred.
- Experience with assessment tools such as CELF and PLS-4 is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Medicaid billing documentation required.
- Ohio state licensure or eligibility is necessary.
